We are collaborating with the local bar association to offer a series of employment law workshops.

The non-profit section of the bar association has recently completed a comprehensive manual to assist state nonprofits with common employment law issues.  This manual is designed to be a go-to guide for understanding many of the legal issues and employment law requirements our state's nonprofits may encounter. 

Employment topics covered in the manual include:

5. Discrimination and Retaliation
6. Discipline and Termination

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

We are pleased to announce our TFI volunteer of the year award goes to Susan B. Yearick. 

Susan has been volunteering for the Foundation for over 10 years and has represented us at national conferences for the last 4 years. 

She has worked tirelessly to raise money for our many special causes and has spent countless hours as committee chair of the Auction Committee.

We have presented Susan with a 10 day cruise to the Caribbean as a simple gesture of our gratitude.
